Best of Spring 2011 SHOES!

 From stark minimalist wedges to super embellished nature-inspired ones. We all flipped for Rodarte's carved wood slingbacks back in September but Sarah Burton's over the top gold sculptures at Alexander McQueen seem to be even more of a fantasy.

 I'm not usually a fan of the mid-heel but when its covered in a crazy mish-mash of prints and textures then the heel is the least of my concerns. Both Missoni's bulbous heel and Meadham Kirchoff's exquisitely beaded and embroidered sandals would find a home in my closet.

 Rodarte show was like no other—breathtakingly beautiful materials in muted tones combined to communicate a dreamy state. Gorgeous pieces with surprising, mixed use of knits, lace, felt and silk. Fabulous from start—with invitation design by Patrick Li using personalized wax finish—and eerily gorgeous roundels of light emanating from the back wall, to conclusion with high heels, dangerously balanced on wax particles on the floors, illuminated magically…to everyone’s delight!

Alexander Mcqueen- beirut fall -winter 2010-2011

Trunk Show at Alexander McQueen Boutique in Downtown Beirut on the 24th of November, 2010. Inspired by the Byzantin Art, some of the most distinguished dresses from the Autumn/Winter 2010-2011 main collection were displayed during the Trunk Show.
Key media and VIPs attended the event. There was also a strong presence ofthe key social feminine figures who expressed their admiration to the collection in general and to every piece in particular that is unique just as the designer himself was.
